Add even more fun to your birthday party with these amazing birthday cookies on a stick. Lots of fun for little dough.


You will need: 8 wooden craft sticks, 1 package of cookie dough refrigerated dough or 1 batch of homemade cookie dough.

Optional ingredients are: frosting of your choice, decorator icing, colored cake decorating pens, candies, sprinkles and melted chocolate or candy melts (available in a variety of colors and usually found in the craft candy making section).


1) Shape cookies into eight 2 inch balls. You can shape with a cookie cutter if you would rather.

2) Bake 4 cookies at a time on ungreased cookie sheet and insert wooden sticks in each. Flatten a little.

3) Bake according to directions and allow to cool 1-2 minutes then transfer to a cooling rack to completely cool.

4) Decorate as desired. Use your imagination and create your own masterpieces or check out our suggestions listed under each theme.


3 c. butter

1 c. sugar

6 tsp. water

6 tsp. vanilla

6 c. flour

3 c. pecans (optional)

Cream butter and sugar then add water and vanilla and then the flour. Add nuts if desired.

Chill at least 4 hours. Form into balls or fingers.

Bake on ungreased pan about 20 minutes (until light tan). Roll in powdered sugar or brown sugar (for an even sandier effect).

Bake at 350 degrees.
